Description: Produced by Luis Hernandez Lopez, the farm is located in San Antonio Huista, and is named after the Laurel - a not-so-common shade tree planted on his farm. Picking only the ripest cherry, Luis pulps the coffee on the same day it’s picked, leaving it to ferment for 36 hours before it is washed and left to dry on patios for 4 - 5 days. Working as a bricklayer to save money for a farm, Luis started farming with coffee when he took over a piece of land his father inherited. “It wasn’t easy because you need to manage with the resources you have, but we managed to plant more coffee.”
